What is breast cancer?
Breast cancer is A disease where abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in the breast potentially spreading to other parts of the body.
Symptoms
The common signs include
1:a lump in the breast
2: changes in shape/size ,
3:unexplained pain,
4:discharge from the nipple or changes in the skin texure.
Risk factors
1:Age (especially over 50) ,
2:Family history
3:Hormonal foctors
4:Lifestyles choices (alcohol,inactivity )
5:Genetic mutations e.g( BRCA1/BRC2)increase risk.
Prevention
1:genetic counseling and testing
If you have family history of breast cancer ,genetic testing for BRCA1/BRCA2 mutations or other genetic makers can help assess your risk and guide prevention strategies.
2:A healthly life styles (diet and exercise)can reduce risks.
3: maintaining health wheight .being overwheight or obsese especally after menopause can increase risk of breast cancer.
4:regulary physical activity
5:limit alcohol intake
6:breastfeeding may lower the risk of breast cancer.
7:hormonal therapy:
By avoiding prolonged use of hormone repalcement therapy after menapouse.
Screening
1:Mammograms Is an x-ray of breast tissue
used to detect early sings of breast cancer even before lump can be felt.
2:breast self-exams by checking you breast regularly for any changes.
3:genetic testing for high-risk women.
